Navigating the NDIS | The Centre
Navigating the NDIS is a highly interactive 4-hour workshop designed to provide practical, hands-on training for child and family sector professionals who support clients engaging with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Delivered in two 2-hour sessions, this workshop demystifies how the NDIS works and how decisions are made, while equipping participants with the tools and language needed to advocate effectively.
Participants will explore key aspects of the NDIS, including how disability is defined, what evidence influences decision-making, and how to communicate client needs clearly and persuasively. The training covers the full journey – from applying for access and creating plans, to managing existing plans and challenging decisions when necessary
With a strong focus on real-world application, the workshop provides templates and resources to help
professionals gather relevant information and represent the needs of children, parents, and carers to NDIS decision-makers.
