Navigating cultural differences and ethical dilemmas when working with culturally diverse families

June 26 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This webinar, delivered by the Australian Institute of Family Studies and Emerging Minds, will explore how to navigate cultural differences and ethical dilemmas when working with culturally and linguistically diverse families, specifically:

  • Maintaining humility and curiosity when cultural differences and ethical dilemmas arise in your work
  • Navigating conversations with children and families from cultures that are different from your own, particularly when cultural differences arise, so that you can maintain culturally sensitive practice
  • Reflect on and challenge your own assumptions, judgments and biases when ethical dilemmas arise due to cultural differences.
