The Five Essential Discussion Tools Training | NTV

July 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Free

The Five Essential Discussion Tools supports those working with men who have used family violence to help them to have some skills and techniques in their work. As well as practical strategies and techniques, the training also supports participants to understand the ‘why’ of the work and the drivers and pattern of behaviours.

Thanks to funding from DSS, No to Violence offers this free training to train practitioners in how to use the Tools in their work with men who use family violence. The Five Essential Discussion Tools training is suitable for experienced practitioners who work directly with men (one on one, group work or case management) in specialist family violence services, but also other sectors like AOD, mental health and child protection services.

The training is designed to refresh and upskill practitioners in working with men with the safety of the victim survivor always at the forefront of the work. The training contains specific engagement strategies for face-to-face, telephone and online responses with men who use family violence.

Before attending the training, please watch the following Pre Training materials: These will support participants to be familiar with the language and information we will be using in the training.

Please be aware of the impact of these videos and use self-care.
