In Conversation with Rosie Batty AO | Connected Libraries Casey
Respect Creates Change. Casey Says No to Violence.
Connected Libraries and the City of Casey are proud to present Rosie Batty AO, 2015 Australian of the Year, for a special In Conversation event in recognition of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
Rosie will share her deeply personal experience of family and domestic violence, and how she has transformed unimaginable loss into powerful advocacy that has helped reshape Australia’s national conversation on preventing family violence. This is an opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s most influential voices on this important issue, while reflecting on the role we all play in creating safer communities.
Copies of Rosie’s books, Hope and A Mother’s Story, will be available for purchase on the night, and Rosie will be signing books following the event.
Everyone has a role to play in building a future free from violence.
Respect Starts with Us.
Casey Says No to Violence.
This event is part of the City of Casey’s 16 Days of Activism campaign.
