A comprehensive suite of prevention programs developed by SECASAFV to create a culture of respect, consent and healthy relationships in schools building safer and empowered communities. There are programs on body safety, consent, gender equality and Cyber safety. Built on a trauma-informed framework, the model offers body safety and personal safety education, with the aim being to reduce the risk of child sexual abuse. Some key topics covered are:
- Early intervention and prevention through education and awareness.
- Raising awareness of body safety and safe relationships.
- Providing education and the language to empower young people.
- Responding to disclosures and signs of child sexual abuse.
- Equipping young people with skills and strategies to enhance online safety.
- Empowering young people to make informed choices through understanding consent and respecting boundaries.
The programs are available across the school community supporting leadership, teachers, students and parents to understand the importance of implementing and practicing key strategies to ensure safety, equip young people with problem solving skills and tools to foster healthy and respectful relationships. These educational programs and workshops have been developed in collaboration with specialists in mental health, primary prevention, education and youth work.

Wellsprings for Women is a women’s only centre providing a range of programs and services that support and build women’s capabilities, self-determination, health and wellbeing. We operate in Dandenong, and outreach to Casey and Cardinia. We use a trauma informed and intersectional approach to our work which is underpinned by community development principles, human rights and equality.
