World Social Work Day

The 2026 theme, Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society, highlights the power of social work to foster connection across communities, cultures, and systems. Drawing on the African philosophy of Harambee — which emphasises unity, mutual support, and shared responsibility — the theme calls on social workers and communities alike to come together to address conflict, inequality, displacement, and ecological challenges.
