Launch of Community Safe Space Network at our First Safe Space| Safe Together Network
When home is unsafe, it is vital that individuals have somewhere safe to pause, gather their thoughts, and explore their options.
At a time when workplaces are moving back towards work-from-home (WFH) due to fuel shortages, as the standard option when possible. Safety measures need to be in place when the home is unsafe. We saw DFSV rates increase during the COVID-19 pandemic and when there was a need for Australians to work from home. This was often referred to as the “shadow pandemic”.
The Safe Together Network (STN) is a community-led initiative working to build a network of Safe Spaces across Victoria, making it easier for everyday Victorians to reach out for support early when affected by DFSV.
I’m pleased to invite you to the launch of our community Safe Space Network at our first Safe Space delivered in partnership with Natural Velocity. This launch event is an opportunity to:
- Learn more about the Safe Together Network and how the Safe Space model works
• Understand the role of community and cross-sector partnerships in creating safer environments
