The SMFVRIC welcomes members and opportunities to broaden our partnership work. To ask about joining the SMFVRIC please contact PSA. By participating in the SMFVRIC, you have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to improving how the Southern Melbourne Area addresses family violence.

Partnership organisations are represented by nominated members from the following agencies:

  • Alcohol & Other Drugs Consortium – SECADA

    SECADA is a single point of contact for a large network of specialist services which support youth and adults with a range of alcohol and drug concerns. This includes people who may be experiencing mental health problems, family and social disconnect, or have been involved with the courts or police. SECADA also provides support to their families, friends and carers.

  • Anglicare

    Anglicare Victoria we create opportunities to transform futures. Everything we do is to prevent, protect & empower disadvantaged Victorian children, young people and families.

    Anglicare Victoria is the state’s largest provider of out-of-home care services for children and young people. We are dedicating to providing many kinds of alternative homes for those unable to live with their families and ensure they are safe and nurtured.

  • Dandenong District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd.

    Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd (DDACL) provides programs and services to meet the needs of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We provide a wide range of health care through our Bunurong Aboriginal Health Service as well as a variety of community programs to promote wellbeing and social engagement.

    The vision of the Department of Justice and Community Safety is for a justice and community safety system that works together to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.  The community can access a range of the department’s services at Justice Services Centres which were established to support the local community and respond effectively to the need for improved access to justice services.

    inTouch provides services, programs and responses to family violence in migrant and refugee communities.

  • Launch Housing

    Launch Housing is a Melbourne-based community organisation that delivers homelessness services and life-changing housing supports to disadvantaged Victorians.

  • Relationships Australia Victoria

    Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is a community based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations. They are committed to providing safe, inclusive and accessible services for all members of the community, regardless of religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, lifestyle choice, cultural background or economic circumstances. 

  • South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA)

    SECASA is the largest family violence and sexual assault service provider across the south-east metropolitan Melbourne.

  • South-East Monash Community Legal Centre

    South-East Monash Legal Service provides free and confidential legal services across the south-east including the City of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia.

  • The Orange Door

    The Orange Door provides help for people experiencing family violence, or who need assistance with the care and wellbeing of children and young people.

  • Uniting Vic/Tas

    Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church, delivering services and programs across Victoria and Tasmania.

  • VACCA

    The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is a state-wide Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) servicing children, young people, families, and community members. The largest of its kind in Australia.

  • Victoria Legal Aid

    VLA help people with their legal problems. We focus on protecting the rights of Victorians and representing those who need it the most.

  • Victoria Police

    Victoria Police provides policing services to the Victorian community across 54 Police Service Areas, within 21 divisions and four regions.

  • wayss ltd

    wayss supports people who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness or family violence due to family violence in Dandenong, Casey, Cardinia, Mornington Peninsula & Frankston.

  • Wellsprings for Women

    Wellsprings for Women values diversity and inclusion and is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for everyone. We draw on the life experiences of our participants, clients, staff and volunteers.

  • Windermere

    Windermere is an independent, not for profit community service organisation working across Victoria including key regional locations, to help those who need it most. Established in 1992, our aim remains constant; to build stronger, connected and supported communities.

  • Women’s Health in the South East (WHISE)

    WHISE is the Regional Women’s Health Service for the Southern Metropolitan Region

  • YSAS

    YSAS is a community service organisation that helps young people and families with drug and alcohol problems, mental health issues and criminal justice involvement.

Members must have strategic leadership roles with sufficient seniority and capacity to represent their organisation, make decisions, allocate resources, and drive the Partnership’s strategic priorities within their organisation. Active participation by the members is a key success factor for the SMFVRIC. All member agencies and their representatives commit to working collaboratively to achieve the priorities of the SMFVRIC and participate in partnership meetings, relevant working groups and activities.

Members contribute:

  • Knowledge and expertise about their service and sector including specific issues experienced by that sector.
  • Share relevant agency information and data as agreed to contribute to strategic planning processes and other activities and initiatives.
  • Inform approaches to improving service system responses.
