Overview

The Southern Melbourne Child and Family Alliance (SMCFA) provides services within the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, and Shire of Cardinia, and features representation from all Integrated Family Services (IFS) and Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR) plus Aboriginal Family Preservation Reunification and Response (AFPRR) providers funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).

The thirteen partner agencies continue to promote the importance of an integrated, responsive, coordinated, accessible and localised family support system in Southern Melbourne.

  • CatholicCare Victoria

    CatholicCare Victoria is the social service agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, and the Catholic Dioceses of Ballarat, Sale and Sandhurst. They are committed to empowering communities and building strength and resilience, to enable everyone to reach their full potential and live life to the full.

  • City of Greater Dandenong

    The City of Greater Dandenong Youth and Family Services provides services and programs that work with children, young people and families who live, work, study or recreate in the Greater Dandenong Municipality.

  • Dandenong District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd.

    Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd (DDACL) provides programs and services to meet the needs of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We provide a wide range of health care through our Bunurong Aboriginal Health Service as well as a variety of community programs to promote wellbeing and social engagement.

  • Department of Families, Fairness & Housing

    DFFH is responsible for child protection, prevention of family violence, housing, disability, LGBTIQA+ equality, veterans, and the offices for Women and Youth.

  • Hampton Park Community House

    Hampton Park Community House (HPCH) offers a welcoming environment, with friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere. They are set amongst the communities shopping precinct, community facilities and local businesses in the heart of Hampton Park.

  • MacKillop Family Services

    MacKillop Family Services believe every child deserves the best, and the best place for children is in a safe and supportive family, where they are nurtured to develop and to their full potential. They work across New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

  • OzChild

    OzChild is an independent not-for-profit organisation who supports children, young people and families throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT.

  • Queen Elizabeth Centre

    Queen Elizabeth Centre believe that every child deserves the best start in life. They provide families with specialised services, guidance and education to support them on their parenting journey.

  • The Orange Door

    The Orange Door provides help for people experiencing family violence, or who need assistance with the care and wellbeing of children and young people.

  • Uniting Vic/Tas

    Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church, delivering services and programs across Victoria and Tasmania.

  • VACCA

    The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is a state-wide Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) servicing children, young people, families, and community members. The largest of its kind in Australia.

  • Windermere

    Windermere is an independent, not for profit community service organisation working across Victoria including key regional locations, to help those who need it most. Established in 1992, our aim remains constant; to build stronger, connected and supported communities.
